What would you do?
I'm curious.
Supposedly you were reading a magazine or newspaper on the train/bus. Your neighbour(s) start to read over your shoulder together with you. What will you do? Will you:
(a) Ignore them and continue reading. It's no big deal.
(b) Glare at them. Stop invading my privacy!
(c) Slam the publication shut immediately and stash it under your bag. Not sharing.
(d) None of the above. I'll think of something else.
??? :)
Seriously, I'd like to know. Started thinking abt my own reaction after I encountered an incident like this on the bus, except I was the one reading over the other woman's shoulder :P

Given my limited experience, since I usually fall asleep instead...
I would do the first part of (a). But if the person got really irritating, I will silently curse under my breath. And if it got really bad, I would do (c).
There's 1 thing I would like to do but never got the guts or chance. That is to turn to the person and gave him/her the newspaper just before I got off the train.
Actually, I don't mind someone reading over my shoulders, as long as the person does it quietly and is not intrusive or rude.
I often meet people (especially aunties) on the train who will very rudely adjust the publication or stop reading altogether if they suspect people are reading their copy. It's ridiculous because most times they are being over-sensitive.
And no need to be so petty la, just a free copy of Today only mah.
